I know I have some kind of infection. I thought maybe a yeast infection since it was umcomfortable and had a little pain down there and plus when I wiped I had a pinkish in my urine. My doc prescribed diflucan and it helped for the most part but I still had a lil sting when I peed. Now all the symptoms are coming back and plus I feel like I have to pee and nothing really comes out. I called in to the doc office and she had one of her partners there who told me to use monistat and see if that works and if not call first thing Monday morning and they will see me. He said it could be a really bad yeast infection. I told them both I think its a uti but they said my urine was fine. Has anyone had any of these signs and if so what was it that you had? Discomfort, pain when you pee, some pinkish when you wipe, and burning in your vaginal area. Its also umcomfortable to walk. I figured if it gets worse this weekend I might as well go to the er. Monday is kinda too long.

Do it sounds like you have a bladder infection. You will need antibiotics. Go back to your doctor and provide a urine specimen. Ask them to do a C &S on it (culture and sensitivity) which will tell you if you have a bladder infection or not. If it does turn out to be yeast related, you should also take an acidophilous supplement which will help fight yeast and other infections. Its also prudent to consider taking after baby is born as we are SOOOO prone to yeast infections. Read more on my VIP site!

I would really be mad at my doctor if you knew what you couldve had and they didnt listen. I also know that if you just take monistat without knowing you have a yeast infection, then you will have more common yeast infections in the future. Your doctor is aware of this and i would be very upset if this happened.

Thank you! I went to the ER early this morning and just got back. It was a UTI like I suspected. I knew thats what it was since Ive had them before and it felt the same way. Hopefully these symptoms go away quick. I hate feeling like I have been holding my pee for a long time and it stings. Thanks for helping!! =)

Definitley sounds like a UTI. I get them about twice a year, and they don't always show up right away in a urine test. My dr just knows to trust me by now and gives me the meds.

I went to the doctor on a thursday and was in the hospital that monday with a HUGE uti. They said that my urine was fine when I came in and the uti must have developed over the weekend. Id have them check your urine again, you dont want to be in the hospital with preterm labor, which is what they told me could happen if you have a bad enough uti. Good luck to you

It feels like a UTI since Ive had it before in previous pregnancies. They took a urine sample and said it came out fine though. So I dont know what the problem is. I used the monistat like they told me to and it seems like its helping for now but no telling how long that will last. Thank you ladies! =)

to me that sounds like a blader or kidney infection.
go to the doctors and ask them to test your urine for cystitis, as it can be very dangerous if left untreated in pregnancy, causing pre term labour and sepsis in the mother.
it can be treated simply with antibiotics, and sometimes it can be masked by a yeast infection, but the fact that you need to pee but cant get much out is highly sugestive of cystitis.

It could very well be a UTI... one of the most unpleasant things that can happen down there.... besides being described an antibiotic to completely clear it out you can drink a WHOLE LOT of cranberry juice for temporary relief. It's only temporary but something is better than nothing (until you can get checked)
