Maybe I am just being grumpy, and it is partly because my belly hurts so damn much, but it drives me crazy when strangers try to touch/rub my belly! I like letting my fiance and family feel the babies move, but total strangers? Back off! Am I the only one who thinks it is very rude behaviour?

missd - 52 days ago Rating: 0 (0 votes) You bet, during my last few weeks pregnant, i covered up. Grrr got sick and tired of people at the bus stop chatting and wanting to touch my tummy.

kbrooke1231 - 54 days ago Rating: 0 (0 votes) I agree that it is very uncomfortable. The only person i like to just touch me without notice is my husband. I have even asked family to give me a bit of a warning. I find that I have become very pretective of my belly, a little jumpy.

Alethea - 54 days ago Rating: 0 (0 votes) I agree, it is very rude! It makes me feel so uncomfortable. As soon as i see eyes drifting down to my bump i back off. I am going to make some t-shirts with HANDS OFF THE BUMP! Then see if they get the message:-)

dawnispregz - 54 days ago Rating: 0 (0 votes) Nop i dont think your grumpy at all, just because youre pregnant doesnt mean that your personal space has to be invaded by general strangers. If it happens again just stroke their belly back and say "oh how cute, when are you due?.....dont appreciate that? No.Neither do i!" To be honest it doesnt bother me at all with friend and family, but im a touchy and affectionate person anyways, but if a stranger did it then id flip. x x x

SarahSeryi - 54 days ago Rating: 0 (0 votes) I don't think your grumpy at all, I remember when I was pregy with my twins I used to get it all the time, it's like your not a person anymore jst a baby maker. I often felt like saying would you do that if I wasn't pregy, no. well you don't know me so get your hands off me. I didn't used to mind if people gave you enough respect to ask first but to jst start feeling your bump I think is so out of order. I vividly remember my friend saying the same when she was pregy with her 1st. I definatly don't think your alone. oh and I love what debra said about pating them back, i'v jst found out I am pregy again I think i will do that as and when the time comes lol

kater - 54 days ago Rating: 0 (0 votes) ooooh i HATE this!!! the only people i dont mind touching me are my husband and daughter. NO-ONE else. it just makes me feel so uncomfortable, i mean i would never go up to someone else and touch them, its just weird! im not a 'touchy' person anyway, maybe this is why i hate it so much

Spike - 55 days ago Rating: 0 (0 votes) i absolutly hate it! i think its very rude and an invasion of my privacy and personal space! i have found that doing it back to the is a very effective way of getting them to go away with out being to rude, most of the time they look at me like im a freak and get all offended that i dared to touch them in such a personal way. Yet they are fine with walking up to a compleate stranger and doing it to them! some ppl...

kbushby - 55 days ago Rating: 0 (0 votes) i dont think its rude, more awkward than anything. if you dont want people touching it try to avoid conversation with complete strangers.

kristalsfirst - 55 days ago Rating: 0 (0 votes) i think they should ask for permission before they do it but i think they mean well. I think people don't realize it bothers us or that we may feel uncomfortable but a lot of people get excited when they are around pregnant people. They prob just thinking that are bumps are so cute and feel the need to touch it like we feel the need to touch a soft baby blanket.. It can get irritating i do agree but i really think they mean well

mzrican - 55 days ago Rating: 0 (0 votes) Yea its like invasion of MY personal space. Like back up please. I really don't like anyone touching my belly except me my little daughter who isn't even 1 and my bf. So. Idk. It's weird

agonzales - 55 days ago Rating: 0 (0 votes) It doesnt really bother me. Depends on how they are rubbing or touching it.

Debra - 55 days ago Rating: 0 (0 votes) its rude. I used to pat them on the tummy after they touched me. They usually got the point.
