I can`t point my foot (feet) down or up. I can`t stand up straight or go up/down stairs. I get a sharp Pulling Pain in my legs. Anyone else get/had this? If so, what did you do to help it? I am 15 weeks.

ibaheir2dathrone - 53 days ago Thank you ladies for the great comments. I will talk to my Peri. about this at my up coming appt. God bless, steph

2b - 53 days ago Rating: 0 (0 votes) My recomendation is to S-T-R-E-T-C-H your muscles!! Try wearing something more supportive on your feet than a flip flop and massage always feels good!!

Bienks - 53 days ago Rating: 0 (0 votes) I also have this problem especially at night while sleeping spoke to my doc and he also recommended bannanas, it did help I do not get cramps everynight but I still get them occationally doc says it's a normal pregnancy problem that loads of woman complain about them

Debra - 53 days ago Rating: 0 (0 votes) can be a lot of things- dehydration, low potassium, low calcium levels or a blood clot. If your calf is warm in one area or swollen, suspect a blood clot. Other wise, stay away from foods that are high in sodium and make sure you are getting a balanced meal. Drink lots of fluids (aka water and you need about 2-3 L of water per day) and try also taking in some extra dairy (for low calcium). If its low potassium you may also try eating bannanas or drink some gatorade. At any rate, you should be speaking to your doctor about this, not this forum! Unless you've been on your feet alot or have been running around, its not normal for your legs to be cramping. If you notice any twitching in your muscles there's a good chance the cramps are related to low calcium levels. Have your doctor check your blood work. Avoid massaging them as well until it can be ruled out that there isn't a clot present.

sarahanne - 54 days ago Rating: 0 (0 votes) Sounds like dehydration... but I'd check with your doctor

kristalsfirst - 54 days ago Rating: 0 (0 votes) I had this a few times. In the middle of the night I stretched my foot out and i had the sharpest pain in my leg i cant even describe how painful it was. It lasted about 7 seconds (which felt like FOREVER) of complete pain, I was screaming. I woke my bf up and he was wondering what the hell was going on. I was told to eat bananas.

moms the word - 54 days ago Rating: 0 (0 votes) Try drinking more water. Dehydration can cause those kind of muscle cramps. I would also recommend eating bananas. The potassium in them is great for reducing cramps. Good luck and sorry you are having pain.
