I am weaning my daughter from breastfeeding and I don`t know how it effects your body. I have been really crampy and tired lately and every once in a while a little sick to my stomach. (A funny feeling, kind of like I felt when I was pregnant) There is a small chance I could be pregnant but I keep taking tests and they come back negative. I haven`t started my period yet because I have been breastfeeding, so I don`t know my cycle. It has been about 20 days since I had unprotected sex. Are your hormones so different when you are breastfeeding that it would be hard to read with a pregnacy test? I started weaning her right at the same time that I could have become pregnant so I don`t know if the symptoms are from weaning or if anything even happens to your body when you stop breastfeeding. Please help!

I too say get checked for being pregnant.. happened to me although I KNEW that you could still get prego while breastfeeding and here I am one month after having my son pregos again!! (LMAO) anyways I got a lot of cramping and sickness when i weaned both of my children so the answer could be either or with your situation... negative tests are normal with our hormones out of wack with breastfeeding and all so I would speak with your Dr

you need to go the doctors and have a pregnancy blood test taken. You could just be starting a period too. And btw, breastfeeding does not prevent pregnancy. AT ALL. THere are a lot of pregnant women on this site who are preggers now b/c they were breastfeeding and thought they were "safe" I've been feeding my son less and less and haven't had any cramping or anything.
