Does anyone know where i can get the purest realest calcium carbonate? Its actualy real chalk. I realy need it!!! I crave it so bad...the chalky taste that i could just eat walls and dirt! I had calcium pills that i ate and they tasted good, but im out and the company changed them a bit and they dont taste the same anymore. I realy need it!!! My hubby has been searching the net but he had only found pure magnesium but i need calcium! I have tried taking enouph iron when a nurse told me its a iron defeiciancy and i took more calcium supplements, but im dying to eat something chalky! Its gotto be pure tho.

Debra - 137 days ago Rating: 0 (0 votes) yes. You are actually suffering from pica disorder. http://www.pregnancy-info.net/pica.html YOu need to talk to your doctor ASAP. It is often related to an iron deficiency. Have your blood levels checked, but my midwife recommended I take PALAFER CF supplements, 2 x a day. While you may need calcium supplementation as well, you should only take 500mg of calcium carbonate 3 times a day. Injestion of too much calcium can cause kidney stones and other disorders and seriously harm you and your baby.

Allioop - 137 days ago Rating: 0 (0 votes) Craving chalky things or dirt is something you should tell your Dr. ASAP. It is not a usual craving and can signify deficiancy in certain vitamins. Call your Dr. right now and tell him/her that you are craving chalk.
