Baby3onWay - 95 days ago Rating: 0 (0 votes) don't be worried. I never heard my first until i was closer to 15 weeks.

tarasblessing - 95 days ago Rating: 0 (0 votes) I didn't hear it the first time and I was 5 weeks. I went back at 6 weeks and had an internal ultrasound and I was able to hear it.

Debra - 96 days ago Rating: 0 (0 votes) no, its not normal to be able to hear it that early. We heard ours at 13 weeks, but my midwife said its very rare to hear it that early. Its more difficult to hear if the placenta is sitting on the side of your uterus as well (as opposed to the ideal top of the uterus)

Mrs.M.H. - 96 days ago Rating: 0 (0 votes) Well, it isn't really that easy to hear a heart that is so small at that point. It doesn't surprise me really, but your estimated date might be a bit off too. It's hard to say. But the doc might have simpley had a hard time finding something so small, quiet, and tucked away. They are always two weeks younger than we are prego remember. 11wks is only 9 for them really. They are still small enough to be really low in your pelvis too. Try not to worry about it and I suspect that they will be checking again in a couple of weeks anyway. If everything else is fine and measuring good that is a great thing:) To think that way back before the doppler sound they didn't have any way of hearing anything anyway. Just ask your doc if you should be worried and ask them to be straight with you and they should be able to tell you the inns and outs:) Good Luck!

skittles0607 - 96 days ago Rating: 0 (0 votes) Have you had an ultrasound yet? i wouldnt be worried though. the baby could of been laying in position where you couldnt hear it yet. But by your next appt you should be able to hear it..

xbabybeanx - 96 days ago Rating: 0 (0 votes) I really wouldn't worry at all. I went at 16 weeks and asked if i could listen to the heartbeat and the midwife said that she would try and find it but she wouldn't worry if she couldn't find it. She did find it but only for a few seconds and i was 16 weeks, so really don't worry. Your baby isn't very big yet. Hope this helps x
