If I lie on my right side at night I get woken up about an hour and a half or 2 later which a masty pain. It`s under the right edge of my ribs and feels like a swollen patch/pad about the size of the palm of my hand. Turning over hurts a lot if not done just right. But once on my left side, it disappears. Anyone experienced this? Anyone know what is causing it? What is it?? THANKS!

Debra - 51 days ago Rating: 0 (0 votes) sounds like feet! I think its time for you to stop lying on your right side. What happens is you decrease your blood flow to your placenta as the weight of the uterus shifts onto your abdominal aorta. Lying on your left side maximizes your blood flow. It sounds like someone is trying to tell you to move! Listen to your little one!

AmyEvers - 51 days ago Rating: 0 (0 votes) I normally sleep on my right side (I always have) and also get this pain right under my ribcage. I didn't know what it was but it was horrible and kept waking me up. I have a doctors app. on the 15th and I am def going to discuss it with her!

aulrobbri - 51 days ago Rating: 0 (0 votes) your placenta is prob there... I am not usually a worrier about pain when preg cuz most is ligament but I would get that checked out

Baby3onWay - 51 days ago Rating: 0 (0 votes) it has to do with ligaments, BUT you should be laying on your left side as much as possible as its suppose to be really good with the circulation during pregnancy

jessicagregory - 51 days ago Rating: 0 (0 votes) Hello, I feel the same way, always on the right side. I was told it was the ligaments.

EniChan - 51 days ago Rating: 0 (0 votes) i had it just yesterday and i was sent to the clinic. the doctor found out that my right kidney was bigger than the left.she said it can happen during pregnancy but i shouldnt worry. when i arrived at the clinic the pain was almost gone. but when i got home it started again right away. it was a horrible night with so much pain. after i drank alot of water the pain slowly went.

Allioop - 51 days ago Rating: 0 (0 votes) I would mention it to your Dr as it could be caused by some reason other than pregnancy. Your appendix and liver are both on the right side and can get swollen and painful if there are problems. I don't want to scare you because it could be totally normal but the point is you won't know unless you tell your Dr. and have him/her check it out!
