I have a quite sharp pain in my lower left side of my tummy, almost next to the hip area... I am 17 weeks anyone else had this x

Debra - 97 days ago Rating: 0 (0 votes) yup! Most women have it. It's ligament stretching due to the hormone relaxin that is coursing through your system. You will experience periodic cramps as your uterus stretches and pulls and pain in your hips/back/legs as your pelvic floor muscles stretch and your hips widen to support your growing baby. The hormone stays in your system about 4 months after your delivery and until that time, you will probably continue to feel periodic pain. I suggest seeing a massage therapist when it gets terribly bad and using a maternity belt to help support your belly when you get larger. Please visit my VIP site for more tips and feel free to message me if you have any more questions. I'm an RN and mommy.

AmyEvers - 97 days ago Rating: 0 (0 votes) I am fourteen weeks and have this pain all the time on both sides (rigth inside the hip bones). I am smaller and have had pains ever since I found out I was pregnant. I have done alot of reading on it and found out that it is most liekly caused by the uterus stretching up and out of the pelvis. It puts alot of strain on your other muscles.

aulrobbri - 97 days ago Rating: 0 (0 votes) prob just ligaments stretching. lay down and see if it gets better.

Baby3onWay - 97 days ago Rating: 0 (0 votes) yes its just the muscles in your tummy starting to stretch out!

kenty - 97 days ago Rating: 0 (0 votes) i had this just this morning and i'm 25weeks pregnant. i think it's all down to ligaments stretching!

sibandtwins - 97 days ago Rating: 0 (0 votes) 2 most likely causes are your ligaments stretching(i have these all the time)or i heard that it can be the ovary of which your egg came from and thats perfectly normal too, thats what my midwife sed anyways! hope this helps.xx
