I woke up at 3am and attempted to roll from my left to right side. Once on my right side I have a terrible crampy feeling across the top of my stomach, just below my breasts. It hurt so much. I sat up and even when I did some deep breathing it still hurt quite a bit. I took a Tylenol at 6am and it seems to be a bit better but I can still feel a dull throb. I have a few aches and pulls on my lower abdomen as well. The babies are moving around good and I have no bleeding (thank goodness). Any ideas on what it could be?

i'm thinking two things- either gas bubble/ heartburn which is common the larger you get and will occur earlier with you as you are carrying twins. Gas can get caught anywhere. I had feelings of pressure in my neck, under my arms, shoulder blades, abdomen, back- everywhere. 2nd option, your babies didn't like you lying on your right side (as you will feel them if they don't like it) and pushed against your diaphragm to get more space or make you move. it gets harder to lay on your right and less comfortable as it means less blood flow to your placenta. You will either feel dizzy or feel uncomfortable some way, some how and thats when you will know to move.

This might sound half dumb - but seriously, around 19 weeks I got a gas bubble caught up under my ribs, it caused a cramp, and when I sat up, the cramp went to my back!! It has been one of the worst pregnancy pains I have encountered. I can't say that is what it is, but strange things happen when we are pregnant!! My back still hurt the next morning...

well, your having twins so your going to have alot of extra weight pulling down on u, i too am having twins and in the mornings esp when i turn from one side to the other i feel like im bruised or someone is pulling on me. when you sleep your body gets used to the way you are laying so when you turn your uterus will be pulled up and pushed to the otherside, your ligaments have to quickly change the way they are resting...does this make sense? im nearly 30 weeks pregnant and it is getting really hard to move around in bed. BUT i have to look on the bright side they will be here in 5 or 6 wks!!! wahoo x x xx
