I have another question lol. Im 39 weeks pregnant and I haven`t leaked at all? All my friends who have had babies have all leaked but I haven`t had anything leak from my boobs? Does this mean i might not produce? Also, does anyone know about engorement if you choose not to breastfeed. I heard it is verrry painful and was wondering what to expect if i do produce and choose not to breastfeed. Thanks again! =)

jessh - 85 days ago Rating: 0 (0 votes) i didnt leak at all. Im still exclusively nursing 5 month old twins. I have plenty of milk. Definantly give it a shot. Its cheap, easy, no mess, no bottles, healthy for baby, helps you shed weight fast, you can sleep while you nurse, you have milk anytime, anywhere and its always the right temperature. good luck

Debra - 85 days ago Rating: 0 (0 votes) no, it means nothing. Have you though tried massaging your breasts? You express by running your hands down with pressure over the breast towards the nipple, then squeezing the nipple. Its not common to be able to produce colostrum before you give birth. If you want to breast feed, you put baby to breast frequently (every 3 hours or on demand) to help your milk come in. Then it comes in about 3 days later. You also need to be quite hydrated for it to come in faster. To help with engorgement, you can put cabbage leaves in your bra, pump or hand express into the shower. Massage and hot water or compresses helps a lot as well. Any reason why you don't think you will breastfeed? I have a lot of tips on my VIP site, everything you need to get started. It really is so much more convenient and cheaper for both you and baby. Even if you only get 6 weeks off for mat leave- pumping off milk really isn't that hard to do. I can fill a bottle in 10 min if my baby isn't eating.

koraljolin - 85 days ago Rating: 0 (0 votes) I am 35 weeks and haven't leaked at all either. I've even tried to squeeze some out cuz i was worried like you, and nothing came out. I'm going to try nursing since it is best for us both.

allioop - 86 days ago Rating: 0 (0 votes) No, it's nothing to worry about. I didn't leak with either of my babies and my milk came in just fine. Engorgment if you choose not to breastfeed can be painful, but for me it wasn't too bad. They used to give you medication to dry you up faster, but they don't do that anymore because there are dangerous side effects. The best things to do if you choose not to breastfeed are to keep them in a well supported bra, try not to let the water hit them while in the shower or push on them as that will prolong the process, and if they get painful, I've heard the old cabbage leaf trick works great! You definitely will leak for a little bit but the painful part were they are really engorged doesn't last too long:)

jaydsmom - 86 days ago Rating: 0 (0 votes) I did not leak at all when I had my daughter. I breastfed fine, I just didn't like it so I stopped after 6 weeks. It didn't hurt that bad. Oh and I'm 25 weeks now and haven't leaked yet.

lynt - 86 days ago Rating: 0 (0 votes) I did not leak during either of my pregnacies. I did produce milk but I did not breastfeed. If you do not breastfeed at all you shouldn't have to worry about painful swollen breast. If there is no sucking then nothing stimulates the need for more milk. The milk will just dry up eventually. I didn't have to use breast pads or anything.
