how far along were you when you found out your baby`s gender. And was it bc you couldn`t get a earlier doc appt of you just couldn`t tell yet. im so anxious!! i wanna know whats the average amount of weeks before you know. THANKS!! =)

Spike - 85 days ago Rating: 0 (0 votes) 18 weeks was the first time we could see it, but i didnt belive it till 24 weeks when he was bigger, we could see better and we got a better shot. with 3d ultrasound as long as your baby is in the prime position, you can tell at 15 weeks.

made2bmom - 85 days ago Rating: 0 (0 votes) I was 18 weeks on the dot and was able to find out, then had another one at 21 weeks and they confirmed it again. I think probably 16 weeks is the earliest you can tell, but it just depends on your doctor, whether or not they want to schedule an ultrasound at that time. Good luck!!

XIDJA - 85 days ago Rating: 0 (0 votes) i was 20 weeks. remember the longer you wait the better chance they will be able to tell you for sure what the gender is. they can tell before that but sometimes its more inconclusive.

reila - 85 days ago Rating: 0 (0 votes) They will usually check 16-23 weeks depending on the doctor =] While I've heard of excellent techs knowing a bit before that, it's just extremely tough because the genitals are still developing and may appear to be one gender when they are really the other. That's why techs won't even try until you are 16-23 weeks. I'm 20 weeks and getting my big ultrasound in a few days =] Well best of luck to ya!

SRHMKP - 85 days ago Rating: 0 (0 votes) I FOUND OUT FOR SURE WHEN I WAS 19 WEEKS ALONG CAUSE BABY HAD HER LEGS CROSSED THE APT FOR 18 WEEKS. LUCKILY THE DOC FORGOT TO DO SOMETHING AND I GOT TO GO BACK IN FOR ANOTHER SCAN.

sibandtwins - 85 days ago Rating: 0 (0 votes) i found out at 17 weeks BUT they only said 80% girls (twins) becos they couldnt see anything between the legs, although the legs were wide open lol. if the baby is fully cooperative you should also be able to find out around this time. they will only ever guarentee a boy (they will b able to see his little winky by then). most people however have a scan at around 20 weeks and that will be able to tel you for def if it is a girl or boy. i am now 30 weeks and they are definately girls! hope this helps xx

agonzales - 85 days ago Rating: 0 (0 votes) I had earlier ultrasounds and we tried finding out the sex but we werent for certain. I didnt confirm it was a boy for sure until my 22wk scan. I think its best to wait til at least 18wks to be sure.
