I went to the emergency room on friday and found out that I do not have a pregnancy in my uterus, but that I may have one in my tube but they are not sure. They say that I could have messed up on my dates of getting pregnant and that It might just be that Im only 4 or 5 weeks instead of 10-11 weeks. But there not really sure. They want me to come back this friday and have another ultrasound to see if there is a heart beat. Has anything like this ever happened to any one else and or does anyone have any advice please just give me something. Im scared.

Debra - 89 days ago Rating: 0 (0 votes) i have heard of a woman who was pregnant with triplets in england. One was ectopic and actually attached itself to her abdominal wall. She gave birth to all thee via c/s but it was extremely risky surgery. Ectopic pregnancies occur 1 in 100 pregnancies. My cousin had one recently but they caught it before it blew out her tube. If the pregnancy is allowed to continue, you risk rupturing your tubes and having a lot less of a chance of conceiving again. Then I'm sure you can well imagine other risks this puts you at. My cousin recovered from surgery very quickly and scarring was minimal. Take it easy and get lots of rest! I'm sorry for this loss. I hope you have lots of support. I should also add that at 5 weeks, on ultrasound they should be able to see a yolk sack of some sort. We had one done at 5 weeks and they could see something there. at 8 weeks we could see the baby but it looked like a peanut.
