I am nearly 32 weeks and I can feel my heart beating and sort of hear it in my ears. It feels like it is going to jump out of my chest. I am not in pain and I have just had dinner. Has anyone had this and is it anything to worry about?

think of how much more blood your heart is pumping! its normal for women to hear thier heart beating louder than usual.

heart palpitations are normal in pregnancy due to the extra blood volume. **However, if you have had a high BP at all, you should go to the hospital. You may also feel palpitations after injesting sugar or caffeine as the heart's atrium will start firing off some extra beats.

hmm. My last pregnancy, I had gestational diabetes and would have similar symptoms when my blood sugars ran a little high. If I were you, I'd make a call to my Dr. office and ask to speak with the nurse about this and see if she thinks you should see the Dr. I wouldn't take any chances when your heart is beating so fast. If you have an elevated heart rate, you may be getting preeclampsia which is nothing to take lightly. Here's a website to read about the symptoms. http://www.preeclampsia.org/symptoms.asp
