Hi there i`ve been to the midwife today for my 28 weeks appointment and have been told that my baby is breech. I was wondering if there was anyone else at this stage whose baby was breech and then turned? If so at how many weeks did it turn, did it hurt or did you not even know it turned. Anyone with expeirences would be greatly apprieciated. Thanx

UKMama - 87 days ago Rating: 0 (0 votes) Your baby being bum down at this stage is just an observation. It will turn back and forth a good few times yet. Although most settle around 36 weeks, some do still turn just hours before labour as well. You can do a good few things to encourage a baby round though. One thing they seem to love to bits is light. Wait until you are 34 weeks or so and try this, if you need to: place a small torch just above your pubic bone when you go to bed (so it will otherwise be dark for the baby), pointing downward. The baby will try and move toward the light when it wakes. When I did this I could feel the little thing working hard to turn round. It only took a few minutes and then it went very still. [Turn the torch off the next time you wake up in the night.] You can do this every night or until you are happy the baby has settled to head down. But for now, don't give your baby's position another thought. All the best!

Spike - 88 days ago Rating: 0 (0 votes) my son was breach right up till the 11th hour so to speak! he kept turning and was what you call an unstable lie. they induced me at 36 weeks and he would move down then fip back after the contraction. it took a while for him to make up his mind and once i was almost fully dialated and he went head down they made me kneel so there was no room so him to turn and gravity took its effect and draged himinto my pelvis. Dont worry about the baby being breachat htis point it still has alot of room to move abound and will do so. after 36 weeks if the baby is still head up they will talk to you about your options eg) manualy turning bub, or cesar. Ahelpfull hint go swimming! the water takes the weight your both your bodies and makes it easyer for the baby to turn.

DANNIE - 88 days ago Rating: 0 (0 votes) A lot of babies don't turn until much later in the pregnancy, like weeks 33-38. Your baby still has plenty of time.

thunders79 - 88 days ago Rating: 0 (0 votes) I wouldn't worry at this stage at all. It is fairly common for your baby to be breech as this stage. My baby was too. You will know when it turns! i thought i was going into early labour and worried like made. my midwife confirmed that it was the baby turning.

Debra - 88 days ago Rating: 0 (0 votes) my baby settled head down at 26 weeks and then turned at 40 weeks 3 days into a breech position. It was a surprise and I went into labor and didn't find out until they broke my water at 10 cm. Babies can turn if they are given the right encouragement. At 40 weeks I was suffering from athlete's foot, was so swollen even my crocs were tight. I had blistering up my legs and they were so itchy, i couldn't stand it. Desparate for him to come out, I turned to my chiro who offered 'labor induction' massage. My friend had this done 2 weeks before my due date and was in labor within 3 hours. Thinking this would be a good thing to start my labor, i signed up right away. I didn't know that there was a good chance of it relaxing baby so much he would turn. And he was at -2 station to begin with, dropped and really wedged in there. So! if you find yourself towards the end of your pregnancy with a breech baby, i suggest this to help turn baby! I also know that heat applied to a woman's right baby toe has a 95% shot at turning baby. this is called accupressure or a type of accupuncture and can be found at offices that offer accupuncture and even chinese herbal stores. I've also heard of women getting on their hands and knees and do some pelvic tilts and baby turns. I hope this helps! please also visit my VIP site for info on your pregnancy, labor, breastfeeding, packing, child care etc- that every one should know and not have to find out the hard way.

agonzales - 88 days ago Rating: 0 (0 votes) Oh ya you have lots of time for your baby to turn. Everytime I get an ultrasound my baby is turned in a different position than before. Hes gone from head down to breech then head down. Whos knows where he will be next time lol. Dont worry! It doesnt hurt when he turns. I actually dont even feel it. I just know when hes head down because I get pressure down below.

Mrs.M.H. - 88 days ago Rating: 0 (0 votes) It is too early to be worried about your baby being breech. They can turn really late and even if they don't they can be manually turned as late as your due date though I don't think I would recommend it:) Good luck!

moms the word - 88 days ago Rating: 0 (0 votes) My daughter did not turn until 32 weeks.
