No don't worry your baby will move lots still at the momoent. It may be head down but it won't be engaged in your pelvis yet. They can be head down all the way though and not engage until about 36weeks. My daughter was always head down but never engaged and i ended up being induced but this time round it is breech and i'm waiting for it to turn. Hope this helps x

my son was head down at my 18 wekk scan and then breach at 24 and 30, then head down again at 34 and breach again at 36 when he was delivered, he turned at the last moment (literaly) its not unusual for thenm to change again and again right up till 40 weeks though most have picked a position by 36.

Babies move in different positions through out the pregnancy. Every ultrasound I get my baby is in different position. Your baby may be head down but you are only 20wks and he may turn a few times before having him. At my 20wk ultrasound he was head down as well. At my next u/s he was breech. I just had another one on Monday and he is head down again. Dont worry its normal and you have lots of time and room for him to move around.

You know at that stage they will still flip around and do loops next week baby might turn and go head up, some like being side ways until the last 4 wks! So really no worries! My boy was head down for half or my ultra sound and then head up and facing in for the rest! Head down doesn't mean you'll go into labor it is just a good position late when you are due. First babies are really fun don't worry about position until the last month that's the only time it will really matter. I'm 26wks and I can watch my boy doing flips and feel him when he turns his feet to my ribs and then down to kick on my bladder! Hands aren't as mean but cute non the less it helps me to tell which end is up most of the time, my ultra sound tech was surprised that I could tell. When you go into labor later you'll know and it doesn't always have to do with position. If your doc isn't worried about anything don't worry; if you are, just ask, no question is stupid. Good luck!

this is good news. and babies can turn- mine was head down at 26 weeks, dropped at 36 weeks, was -2 station at 40 weeks and then turned into a breech position at 40 weeks 3 days. I went into labor at 40 weeks 5 days and had no idea he was backward. neither did my midwife as its difficult to do a palpation during active labor. So what i'm saying is- babies turn when they want to turn, they are born when they want to be born. The only thing you need to do to make sure you DON"T go into early labor is take care of yourself. Eat healthy, drink lots of fluids (2-3L or 8-10 cups) exercise (moderately ie. yoga/swimming) and rest appropriately.

He still has room to turn around and then turn back again before delivery time comes. My daughter turned around a few times before finally getting into head down at about 34-35 weeks. It is normal, I would not be worried yet.
