What would you wear for a professional photo shoot with your 4-month old daughter? I want classy photos (this isn`t a mall photo-shoot) but I don`t know what we should wear! Maybe I should look online. Any and all suggestions will be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

I was just going to say what windchime said. Go au-naturelle! Everybody, mommy daddy & baby. Those photos are so beautiful. Everything is covered and usually done in black and white. Very artsy and very beautiful. Here's a quick google of a couple very beautiful ones

Have you considered the nude look? Nothing showing, obviously. Just an above-the-waist photo where baby is laying on top of your chest so your breasts are covered. I've seen it done quite tastefully.

Hi! I love it when families all wear the same color in their photos. I think it's very simple and keeps things from being distracting. Plus it's easier to choose background colors, too. When our daughter was two months old my husband and I wore black and we put our daughter in white. We all wore janes to keep things comfortable and not too dressy looking. If you want to see how they turned out you can see the pics on my page.

Avoid busy patterns on the clothes, because you want the focus to be on your faces, not the clothes, and because patterns "date" clothing bigtime when they fade from fashion in a few years. Avoid yellows (makes you look worn out) and red (brings out blotchiness in skin). Your best bet is simple and classic with clean lines and soft colors. You don't want the clothes to be distracting.

when we did our portraits, we tried to go with certain color themes..one was tan and blue, other was tan and pink,3rd one was white tops, blue jeans..so wether you dress fancy or not, just make sure youre comfortable for all the poses..and actually i learned that light colors tend to wash out..but dont go too dark either..good luck
