Spike - 75 days ago Rating: 0 (0 votes) at 26 weeks you should measure 26 cm give or take a few. the reason why they do this at every visit is so that they can be sure that your baby is growing and your uterous is expanding. this way if your measurement stop increasing or are increasing very slowly they can order an ultrasound to see if baby is still growing at all or if there is a problem.

moms the word - 75 days ago Rating: 0 (0 votes) Some doctors just plain don't do it till you are further along in your pregnancy. I have also heard of doctors who don't do it at all. Some women measure a bit smaller or a bit larger depending on the size of the baby. If you are really wanting him/her to do it, ask your doc to measure you at your next appointment. It won't be very accurate though cause the bulk of growth for the baby as far as weight gain doesn't happen till the end of the pregnancy.
