Upset tummy Added: 1289 days ago. Added by: thunders79 Section: General. Status: This question is Closed. (Questions will be closed after 10 days.)
Hi, I feel like I am forever asking questions lately! - Has anyone else had diarrhoea? I read that it is normal in pregnancy but I seem to have had it for weeks now. Its not all the time but I always wake up with an intense pain in my tummy and need the loo (TMI - sorry). Today it was so bad that I thought it might be contractions! i`m starting to worry a little as i`m thinking if im not digesting my food properly, is baby getting everything it needs? - i never know if you need to see a doctor or midwife about these things either. I see my midwife the week after next so will mention it to her then.

If the pain is getting worse than I would see a doctor in order to rule anything else out...like gallstones. They can be common in pregnancy. My sister got them in her 2nd and she was pretty sick in her 3rd trimester.

Could try adding a banana a day to your diet, which tends to slow things down a little ...? It would be good to have things regular down there, so your body can get all of the nutrition it needs out of the diet you're eating.

I have it also and mentioned it to my doctor and she said that some times it can be all the stuff in your prenatal vitiamns and your body has to adjust i had it since i found out i was pregnant and that was at 6 weeks i am now 10. the doctor told me to stop taking the prenatals for about a week and see what happens i stoped taking them for 3 days and guess what it stoped i was going like 3 time a day all type (tmi) so the doctor said if i wanted to i can take flinstone vitiamns which i am going to start today.
