I am going to my mother`s about 16 and a 1/2 hours from me. Is it ok for me to bring him that far being that young in a car?

nannersmama - 1285 days ago Rating: 0 (0 votes) I'm moving from cali to georgia when my #2 is 2 or 3 months old....and we are driving. They sleep so much during that period. We are planning on stopping often, and taking extra time to get there!!!

katznkt - 1285 days ago Rating: 0 (0 votes) Yes, but try to break up the travel. You might want to sit in the back with the baby to keep him calm if he wakes and is fussy. As hard as it will be, dont take him out of the car seat while the car is moving... good luck!!

Debra - 1285 days ago Rating: 0 (0 votes) yes and it should be fine. Try to travel over the course of 2 days if you can. You will need to stop as often as he needs to eat and for diaper checks. Our son used to sleep a lot when he was that age, now at 8 months we had to stop several times on a recent 6 hour journey as he complained a lot of being bored. You should also make sure you are taking him out and massaging him to keep the blood circulating. As you would get numb bum being in one spot for a long period of time, so will the baby. Just plan that if it normally took you that long to drive there without baby, tack on several hours to account for necessary feeding and changing stops.
