So I have the opportunity to go to a VERY loud rock concert next weekend and I was wondering if I should go?? Is there any medical reason why all the noise would hurt my baby? I asked my cousin, who went to an Ashlee Simpson concert (although this music hardly compares to Ashlee Simpson) and she said theres no medical reason not to, its just kinda uncomfortable. So any comments on this, please please answer. Or if you have gone to a rock concert while pregnant, share your experience.

BAMMOM - 1283 days ago Rating: 0 (0 votes) So far with this pregnancy I have been to several concerts. Vans Warped Tour, Taste of Chaos, several punk band in small venues. The past weekend I saw Bullet for My Valentine. Luckly for me, my husband always invites a few guy friends to make sure I am protected from drunk guys wanting to mosh by themselves. I say get as close as what is comfortable, drink lots of water and rest before going and most of all Have fun!

It also sucked because they was not one seat in the place. I realized soon after than I will not be doing that again. I also went to a rock concert in a huge arena. And it was loud, but I didn't vibrate and I also had a place to sit. I loved it and baby did too. She danced around and I really enjoyed it! Just depends on how much you think you can take.

GinaMummy - 1284 days ago Rating: 0 (0 votes) Hiya, I went to see the Goo Goo dolls (they are a rock band) in concert when I was 33 weeks pregnant. It was great and baby was fine. So go and enjoy yourself!

dawnispregz - 1285 days ago Rating: 0 (0 votes) there isnt a medical reason why you shouldnt go, but it has been said by professionals that baies do not like hard rock music at certain decibels. think its 70 and above but im not sure on the exact number. but if you take ear plugs with you then that should be better anyways, be careful of the bump, people moshing and jumping around, pushing past and trying to get closer to the band is a little dangerous. Also dont forget if your standing there is more chance of swollen feet, headaches, and serious dehydration. so if you do go wear flats and something comfortable and take loads of water with you.

I agree with everyone else, the noise itself shouldnt be a problem. But watch out for other people! I was jabbed really hard in the breast and almost in the stomach when I went to the rap concert. Depending on the venue some of those places can get crowded, especially if people are standing. Have someone walk infront of you and be careful of people around you. Have fun!

mama-sl0p - 1285 days ago Rating: 0 (0 votes) I was in the Pennywise video when I was about 20 weeks or so...you'll be ok :)

Cindie - 1285 days ago Rating: 0 (0 votes) DOn't worry about it. just do as the others suggested and be careful.. no mosh pits! and for yourself bring earplugs if it gets too loud. But baby is cushioned in there and even tho he/she can hear fine, there is a little bit of difference in the loudness of the sound. (think of when your under water and someone talks.. it's muffled) personally I've gone to the movies where it's REALLY loud. I think my son takes after my hubby cause everytime an action movie scene comes on he starts kicking and bumping around!! he does it to loud music too!

katznkt - 1285 days ago Rating: 0 (0 votes) There is no medical reason I have ever heard of not to go for the babies sake. The main thing is you. Make sure to drink lots of fluids, and take care to keep cool as possible, and I would stay away from smoke and rough crouds as much as possible- those things would do the worst damage. Those things aside, the baby might even rock out with you!
