bleeding because of placenta(sp?)

I am 15 weeks and 3 days pregnantm and up till last night have been doing real well. All of a sudden a gush of bright red blood came out, and was rushed to the ER. After checking for the babys heartbeat(which was found)and an U/Sound my doc said it was coming from my placenta lying low. It isnt lying to low though. I was sent home, and told if I soak a pad to come straight back. Although I am still bleeding, it isnt alot. I was wondering if anyone else has been through this?

CassandraLee - 102 days ago Rating: 0 (0 votes) Did they tell you to be careful of what you do? Thats was I was told when I had placenta previa. I was told not to do alot of walking or heavy lifting until the previa was gone.

jaydsmom - 102 days ago Rating: 0 (0 votes) Yep, happened to me at 12 weeks, though. The bleeding lasted for 2.5 weeks. I was freaked right out. I am almost 29 weeks now and everything is just fine.

Lorien - 102 days ago Rating: 0 (0 votes) I did not bleed like you I just had a little spotting but I know other girls who have had the bleeding like that. With mine I had complete placenta previa (placenta is totally covering the cervix) I was put on pelvic rest (no sex, lifting vacuuming etc.) By 7 months because of my growing uterus my placenta moved upward and everything was fine. Just make sure you really take it easy and try not to worry to, much as hard as that will be. Good luck
