rides and pregnancy Added: 450 days ago. Added by: dmarie2002 Section: General. Status: This question is Closed. (Questions will be closed after 10 days.)
I am about 5 weeks along and we have had a trip planned to go to Disneyland next week (since before I found out I was pregnant) and I don`t see my dr. until Oct. Well my fiance`s friends are telling him it is safe for me to go on rides this early in pregnancy but it`s not worth the risk if you ask me. I e-mailed my Dr. and I will call if I don`t get a response but I wanted to know what you ladies think or to hear your experiences. Thank you!

there is so many rides at disneyland to go on. i wannted to go to disneyland so bad but now im too big. i looked up there website and theres only 7 rides that you wouldnt be able to go on the rest are pretty safe.. everyones different. i went jet skiing at 20 weeks and i also went on my friends boat which was a bumpy ride. the babys pretty safe in that bag as long as its not too hard on a ride where it hurts.

The thrill-rides usually have a sign up at the entrance that says who should stay off, and it usually lists people with back problems, heart problems, and pregnancy. I just got back from DisneyWorld and had a wonderful time. But then, at this point, I'm over the thrill rides, and I'm happy to amuse myself with the many other things the amusement parks have to offer.

i'd go on the rides, it's not like your being thrown around and beaten up, lol. remember that your baby is totally protected at your stage of prgnancy and is just floating in fluid. He or she doesn't know your on a ride. THe only thing that I would stay away from would be rides that emotionally distress you, such as if you are terrified of hieghts, ect... I would stay away from these just cause the baby gets the same surge of hormones that you do, whichi is why the hormones that cause stress and fear for you, stress you baby also. But really, go have fun. drink lots of water, take breaks, wear comfy shoes. I went off-roading, quading, see-dooing, running, trampolining and all kinds of stuff in early pregnancy. If you miscary in early pregnancy it's typically because the baby was not healthy because of a birth or chromosome defect that you have no control over, not because of something you do.

I defenitely would not go on rides, especially being pregnant. Early pregnancy is very important time for the baby developing, and there's a higher miscarrage rate, for the first 3-4 months or so. I wouldn't risk anything bad happening. I wouldn't take the chance.

to be honest babes i wouldnt at all, i just wouldnt risk it, there was another woman that asked the same question a couplf of months ago and all her responses were HELL NO!And one woman replied telling the woman that she went on a fair ground and lost the baby due to being bumped on metal bars etc. In the end, youd rather walk away baby in tact then go on a ride and the worst happen. Its something that ive missed out on whilst being pregz!Sorry to scare you if i have, that wasnt my intention. Just be careful whatever u decide x x

you should be fine...if you feel like it, then you can do. this ealry in the game anyways. at about 2 1/2 to 3 mo is when you wanna rethink things. thats when your utrus gets above your pelvic bone, and can no longer protect the baby.
have fun!

When I was pregnant the first time and I hadnt found out quite yet, I went roller blading and was about to go over a cattle bridge. Instead I jumped and landed flat on my tummy and winded myself but everything turned out ok. Just be sensible about what you will and wont feel comfortable going on and you should be right. If not you can still go and have fun but it may be a tiring day for you. If you do go, take lots of water and food and wear the most comfortable shoes you have
