do i need a humidifier?

i have been seeing a lot of ads for humidifiers in my pregnancy magazines. i dont know anything about them...is it something i need or just another extra thing?? what is it for and do you have one?

patience21 - 1260 days ago Rating: 0 (0 votes) When me or my soon to be 3 year old get sick i keep a pot of water boiling on the stove, same as a humidifier but alot cheaper. also if you have a bad stuffy nose throw some vicks vapor rub in the water and it make a vicks like steam works good.

shelley75 - 1260 days ago Rating: 0 (0 votes) yep, they are only good if your house is really dry. if baby is sick they can help with that, although I prefer to use a vaporizer with a sick baby.

mariettap - 1260 days ago Rating: 0 (0 votes) hmm...It's useful if your baby has a nosey cold or cough/croupe. Or...some pregnant women get nose bleeds. A humidifier could help with that in the dry winter months. No sense buying one unless there's a need though, right?
