MY LIL GIRL IS 11 MONTHS OLD AND SHE HAS A COLD. HER NOSE I REALLY RUNNY AND SNOTTY AND SHE HAS BEEN COUGHING ALOT!! I AM ASSUMING SHE IS SICK.. DUH. ANYHOW, SHE IS ALWAYS CRANKY NOW.. I MEAN LIKE ALL THE TIME CRANKY. WHINING TO BE IN BED OR FOR ME TO HOLD HER. IS SHE GONNA BE MORE TIRED FROM BEING SICK? DOES SICKNESS CAUSE TIREDNESS AND FUSSINESS? WHAT CAN I GIVE HER TO MAKE HER FEEL BETTER?

you can give her tylenol for infants that is about it. does she have an ear infection? those coughing and runny nose are symtoms of that and she may not pull at her ears neither of my kids did. I always watched for the coughing and snot nose. is she teething? they make these things called teething tablets(baby section at walmart) they are fantastic way better than the anbesol. there is a label on the bottle that tells parents not to worry if their baby falls asleep immediately after taking the tablets because they are soothed. they just melt in their mouths. i suggest getting baby vicks and tylenol and using that for a day and if it doesnt help take her to the doc and see if she has an ear infection.

You can alternate motrin and tylenol, plus lots of water and let her sleep!!!

when my 11 month old got a cold i used vicks baby rub and tylenol. I also got a vicks vaporizer for the room and that seemed to help a whole lot and they only cost like 14 bucks.

Yes it can make her more tired and fussy, because her body is fighting off whatever is making her sick. So, it takes a lot out of them. My kids get this way when they're sick too. An indicator on when to take her to the doctor is if she isn't eating normally or if she isn't sleeping. Sometimes if the symptoms alone are bad enough, take her in if she isn't over it in about a week. Your call on that time frame. Good luck.

this could either be a little cold or could very well be teething. babies get this way when they are cutting teeth and it is about time for her 1-year molars to come in. You should be able to use ibuprofen or tylenol. As far as the stuffy nose, you can use saline drops and a nasal aspirator to get the "gunk" out. Yes, when a baby doesn't feel well, they will be fussy and want to sleep more because their body is fighting something. Also, check her gums for redness & swelling...try some orajel.

You could do tylenol or IB profuen for infants. that may help her. Also try to give her juice instead of milk or formula. I hope she feels better.. Also maybe a warm bath may help.

its a possibility too that she could have an ear infection or she is cutting teeth..have you taken her to the docs?just sounds like the same symptoms some of my friends kids on this site have had, and turned out they had ear infections as well..when my son has a cold, i give him tylenol and i use vicks baby rub on his chest..hope she feels better
