I am 19 weeks pregnant and I have been trying to avoid taking any cold meds b/c all I have is chest congestion! It`s been with me for about a month now and it`s so embarassing to be wheezing all the time it seems! Chest congestion relief! Help! Thanks!

i would suggest getting some vicks vapour rub- or menthol chest rub, whatever its called outside of the uk! boil some water. fill a bowl with the water after boiling, stick a huge glob of the menthol in stir it up, get a towel through it over ya head and breath in the vapour, itll ease the chest, open ya sinuses and the warm steam is great for a facial. x

I've been fighting bronchitis for a couple months now so I've tried just about everything under the sun. Breathe over a pan of steaming water on the stove, or suck in the vapors form a hot shower. Use a humidifier in your bedroom. Drink hot tea. All of those things should help loosen your chest. Using Vicks Vaporub is allowed, too. Just bear in mind that really serious chest congestion can compromised your oxygen saturation levels, which in turn can affect your baby. So it's really severe, go see your doc. I've been on a prescription inhaler to help open up my chest to keep my O2 levels good, and I feel loads better.
