Since becoming a mommy, what are items that you would swear by? I will be a first time mom, shortly, and I simply wanted some mommy reviews... =) Also what are some items, that you find totally useless? Thanks Ladies!

aulrobbri - 1235 days ago Rating: 0 (0 votes) Most useful to me was pack n play in the living room that has bassinet and storage built into it-- awesome for those first few weeks especially. Most useless to me was a changing table-- I just ended up using it to keep stuff on. Btw-- A & D ointment is awesome!!!

femi - 1235 days ago Rating: 0 (0 votes) Good: swing & bouncer, electric breast pump, tub, bibs, nursing bra, bassinet, boppy, rocking chair, changing table, crib. Don't get too much clothing or bottles (my baby likes one type of bottle nipple but i had bought so many others).

ibaheir2dathrone - 1236 days ago Rating: 0 (0 votes) Keeprs: Swing, A&D ointment, bathtub, Pack-N-Play. Do Without: Bottle Sterilizer Great Question!!

CassandraLee - 1236 days ago Rating: 0 (0 votes) I think everyone has a different experience as everyones baby and livestyles are different. I thought the changing table was a waste of time un the beginging. It become more useful as my son became more of a wiggler. My son is almost 11 months old and I still use a bottle warmer. If you have your AC on constantly, or live somewhere cold your "room temperature" will be kind of cold. I used the wipes warmer religiously in the begining because my newborn would cry everytime I put one of those cold wipes on his little body. I didnt use a baby tub in the begining, just brought baby in the tub with me. My son loves it now (hes almost 11 months). I dont want to bring every dirty diaper outside after changing baby, so "I" think diaper pails are useful. Ive never used my pack n play. Swings, exersaucer, door jumper, Boppy, sleep sacks, play mat, sling/carrier were all used alot in our home.

reneaj - 1236 days ago Rating: 0 (0 votes) USEFUL:SWING,DIAPER GENIE,HER EXERSAUCER WHNE SHE GOT BIG ENOUGH,MY BREASTFEEDING PILLOW,AND THESE PLASTIC NIPPLE PROTECTOR THINGS FOR WHEN MY NIPPLES WERE REALLY CRACKED PACK AND PLAY.. THE ONE WE GOT HAD A CHANGING TABLE AND A BASSINET ATTACHMENT. I STILL USE IT AND SHES 1. USELESS: HER CRIB.. SHE NEVER SLEPT IN IT. BABY BATHTUB, BOTTLE WARMER, WIPES WARMER,

mdbabyno1 - 1236 days ago Rating: 0 (0 votes) LOVE the kiddopotomous sleep sack(couldn't live without it and people told me they were a waste of money)also love the boppy pillow(so many uses, sleep gowns are great and so easy at night time, my little girl loves the play mat. Waste of money- diaper trash cans(just throw diapers away. I don't want stinky diapers left in the room), mirror for the back seat of the car(I really liked the idea of it but half the time I can't really see). I would just recommend saving packaging and reciepts for everything. There are a few things I wish I could return.

Lorien - 1236 days ago Rating: 0 (0 votes) I found the changing table useless but loved having a swing and wished when I was nursing my first I had a glider chair to sit in.

12.31.08 - 1236 days ago Rating: 0 (0 votes) changing table is useless!! Every mommy ends up on the floor in a couple weeks if that!!

mommad - 1236 days ago Rating: 0 (0 votes) Things I love: changing table, swings, diaper disposal, pacifiers, onesies, recieving blankets, rocking chair Useless items: bottle warmer, wipe warmer, sleeping wedge, between, mittens

RobinG - 1236 days ago Rating: 0 (0 votes) Must haves for me: Soothing Motions Glider (much better then any bassinet or cradle), Close and Secure Co Sleeper, Baby Wipes Warmer, Changing Table (one for each floor), Peanut Shell sling, Fisher Price Space Saver High chair, SO much better then the traditional ones I had with my other two, Dr Browns Bottles. A restaurant bus boy tub. The BEST tub for transitioning from infant tub to big tub. Security blanket, pacifier..Oh the list can go on ~ Useless: Shoes not good til they have learned to walk ~ learned that from our podiatrist with my first son who had feet issues.

Heatherbugg - 1236 days ago Rating: 0 (0 votes) I absolutely loved having a changing table. It's at the right height for changing the babes diaper. A lot easier than bending over or having to get on the floor. It's a big item but if you have a lower dresser that is wide enough you can easily get one of those contoured changing pads to put on top. Something useless? Hmmmm... Probably would have to be the baby bathtub. Some people love them. But they were a nuisance to me. I liked the cheap sponge thing that you put on the bottom of the tub to keep baby from slipping during bathtime. Just squeeze it out afterwards and let dry. Although I went through a couple because they start to get old and stinky. Good luck discovering what you like! cONgraTUlatiONs!
