I am dizzy...any advice??? Added: 1234 days ago. Added by: arkansastechmommy Section: General. Status: This question is Closed. (Questions will be closed after 10 days.)
I have been dizzy since Friday night. It get`s worse when I lay down. I seem to be less dizzy as the day goes on, but as it gets closer to bedtime, I start getting dizzier again. The OB on call at the E.R this weekend said it sounded like I had a virus & I needed to contact my regular OB Monday (today), and have her see me. Well...I called her today...she asked if I was sleeping on my left side & how much water I was drinking... I told her I fall asleep on my left side, but toss and turn throughout the night, and I have not been drinking any water. So, they told me to drink atleast 8 glasses of water a day, and if I`m still getting dizzy in two days, to call them back, and they would see me immdeiately to do bloodwork. Has anyone else had the dizzy spells? If so...any advice? What did it end up being?

Could be related to your blood pressure. I think blood work would be a good idea. In the meantime, you could go to a pharmacy and take your pressure on one of those machines to see where you are. Dehydration could also be the culprit. Take care!!

My blood pressure runs a little low, and I find that this happens to me if I drink too little. 8 glasses a day would be WAY too little for me. A snack with protein (egg and cheese sandwich)and glass of milk do the trick for me, but I still have to drink incredible amts to stay un-fuzzy-headed. I hope you feel better soon.

Have your BP and blood sugar checked right away.
