i know this question is 8 days old. . but i go to the blood doc in 2 days to find out what kind of meds my doc will put me on. they said if i ever got preg i might have o take lovenox shots daily. with my son i had a c-sec & the surgery caused me to have blood clots in my leg. since then i was put on coumadin. i had to be hospitalized & had to have stents put in. with this new pregnancy they said the coumadin would go to the baby & mess it all up, but the shots would be better for it & me. this probably doesnt help since i havent started them yet. but i just wanted to let you know that you arent going to be the only one having to take this drug. take care !

hmm.. I did have to do a 1-time shot, not lovenox, but Novarel, to stimulate a timely release of the egg from the ovary. Giving yourself a shot adds anxiety to the mix, doesn't it? Mine was intra-muscular, not sub-cutaneous, and needed to go into my rear end, so mu husband had to do it for me. He is NOT comfortable with these things! The online pharmacy we used provided a link to a video to watch to familiarize ourselves with it. Then it was an act of faith in each other, and it went just fine.
