my friend & myself had problems with the formula we first got. we both had to switch to diffrent kinds because of all the spit-ups & clothes-changes. you may just need to try a dfferent kind.

my son breastfeeds, but until he started solids, he puked up ALOT. I noticed he was a quick eater and gulped it down fast, swallowing a lot of air. Are you letting him suck for 4 hours straight? how are your little nipples doing? :( Please take a minute to go to my VIP site and have a look at the guidelines i posted for helping out with breastfeeding. I also have some tips for increasing your supply- but its the frequency of the sucking intervals and not the duration that will increase your supply. If you are supplementing with formula, make sure you are also pumping at that time to help you make more milk. Also take a look at YOUR diet. Make sure you are drinking plenty (3L or 10 cups per day) and eating a balanced diet. Grain, protein, veggie/fruit, dairy portion at each meal. IF you feed at 3am, eat at 3 am. And don't forget to brush after as well or you might end up with extra cavities you don't want.

Tyr burping him more. If he's geting alot of air in there he's going to spit up. Make sure you always have the nipple full of formula not air. Some babies are more prone to spitting up then others no matter what you do

Well, it took me quite a while to build up my milk and I haven't ever really had a lot since the beginning so I formula and breastfeed. Mine was hungry quite often too but thats what they do to make your supply go up. Anyway! to answer your question, you may be over-feeding him a little or his body may still be adjusting to the formula. If you still notice problems you might have to change the type. Are you using powdered or that other thick stuff thats pre-made?

You may need to try a different formula. Some babies do better on different kinds of formula. Ask your pediatrician about how to switch types of formula. I can't offer advice in formula switching since I breastfeed exclusively. Good luck!

my baby exclusvely formula fed. hes 11 weeks old now. he spits up alllllllllll the time. Every bottle he looses probably just under an oz. Doctor said spit up is normal, their digestive system is weak and they have small tummies. As long as they are gaining weight everything is fine

When I went from breastfeeding to formula, my daughter did the same thing. It eventually passed though. My dr said it was just her stomach not used to the formula. I did have to put how on the non iron-fortified formula though because of gas pains and constipation.
