moms the word - 1219 days ago Rating: 0 (0 votes) This is such a personal decision. I would say to talk it over with your health care provider and do whatever is most comfortable and feels right for you at the time.

earthmomma - 1219 days ago Rating: 0 (0 votes) the best way is the way that you will be more comfortable in. if you are going natural, that would be a way that utilized gravity and opened the pelvis to its widest potential, such as squatting or supported standing. if you are getting an epidural, you would be able to be comfortable laying down, but would have a higher risk of tearing since you wouldnt have help from gravity and your pelvis wouldnt open as far. but you wouldnt feel it til after...so just see how you feel at the time. your body will tell u what it needs.

lizzie287 - 1219 days ago Rating: 0 (0 votes) Your body will guide you to how you need to go. I wanted a natural birth, squatting and using gravity in all ways possible. I ended up induced with an epidural, laying flat on my back. There's no sense preparing because there's a good chance it won't go the way you want it to.
