Digestive yogurt prior to c-section?

Anyone who`s even had a c-section can tell you that getting your digestive system working after surgery can be painful and slow. I had read somewhere that the new yogurts designed to promote GI regularity might be of assistance in the process if eaten regularly in the week or two prior to the surgery, as it will be encouraging your body to keep regular. Has anyone tried this, and what were your findings? Did it speed up your post-op recovery?

CassandraLee - 1218 days ago Rating: 0 (0 votes) Ive never heard that. But if it helps, great. I didnt have any trouble pooping after my c-section. The worst was trying to push while being paranoid about ripping my incision. Everything was ok for me though.

Bienks - 1218 days ago Rating: 0 (0 votes) I had a c-section 8 weeks ago although it wasn't as bad as I thought it would be going to the loo was also something that I didn't see forward to but as I took my first steps after my section, I went to the loo and it wasn't even sore (maybe it was the pain meds) I didn't eat anythin special like the yogurt your talking about, and was up and driving around when baby was only two weeks old (I hated sitting at home I'm a very active person so I was bored to death) My recovery went great at my 6 week appoint with doc he comented on how good my scar looks. I think it's different for everyone !
