idk why but i was quite emotional yesterday, i kind of cried throughout the day.. but not in a bad way. i was ok during my hospital stay up until the morning yesterday when i was holding my baby and idk but i couldnt stop the tears, but they were of joy, i guess i was overwhelmed because the shock didn`t hit me `til that point ha, i just didn`t realize i could love somebody so much in a short amount of time. i told my cousin about it nd she says i shouldn`t cry after having birth b/c thats how post partum is developed but i`m not depressed... any thoughts on this?

its just baby blues... I had this with all three of my children and times I would think about life and just cry... and like you said not in a bad way! Just be greatful there not tears of saddness and cry it out. I did with mine and talked with people about it, who thought I was crazy until they had kids. Its hormonal and it will stop soon. Best wishes and enjoy your bundle!!

VERY normal. Your hormones are gonna be ALL OVER the place for the next 6 weeks or so. Then they level out a bit. I started crying as soon as I hit the elevator on my way out of the hospital and didn't stop for 2 hours lol.

It has taken your body 9 months to build up all these hormones and in just hours you give birth and everything changes again...It is perfectly normal to get a little teary, most women can take months and months to feel "normal" again. I wouldn't worry too much, dont hold back on how your feeling, if you want to cry, then cry. If you want to run in your garden in PJs laughing then do it lol. Most women who develop depression can be because they are supressing their feelings....Enjoy your baby xxxx

sounds like you have baby blues, you can get this just after birth, it's natural and i think it's caused by the hormone changes...i really wouldn't worry. i know one lady that burst into tears in mothercare because they didn't have the size trousers she wanted to buy for her baby!
