I`m 34 weeks pregnant and i think my baby has the hiccups every so often. Anyone else heard of this-- is it a warning sign of anything?

oh my hunny, kade gets the hiccups all the time, its a regular thing with him. hiccups are from him opening his mouth and taking in amniotic fluid, its not a concern. enjoy them and laugh. some babies never get hiccups int he womb and others like mine cant keep their mouths closed and hiccups are a daily thing,

NO! They do get them! It's the inhaling of the fluid just like when we get them inhaling air. It's actually quite funny when you know everything is alright. One of mine would hic-cup so much that I could tell that she would get cross about it because after awhile she would start kicking and fidgeting even more. She is 17 now and still gets mad witht eh hic-cups!!!!! I'm expecting #7 and they ALL got them. This one ( I am 25wks) started getting them last night. It's a funny feeling. It's a good thing as the baby is using it's lungs really well:-)

I read that fetal hickups are perfectly normal and safe. Even better, they dont cause the same discomfort in babies in the womb, even if they last over twenty minutes.

I LOVED it when Nicholas had the hiccups. It is normal and actually desired becuase it shows that the baby is taking in amniotic fluid like it should.

hiccups are absolutely normal, it's just the baby taking in the fluid. mine has hiccups pretty often, sometimes up to 4times a day

My little one has the hiccups A LOT! I know at least 3 - 5 times a day and some days more. And sometimes they seem to last forever.

All 4 of mine have had hiccups pretty much everyday from the 30th week on. It is a good thing and means that things are working the way they are supposed to :-). You can even use hiccups for kick counts if you are doing them.

It is very normal. My baby gets them every day, at least once a day. I find it kind of funny and at the same time reassuring because I can definitely feel him moving then. I am 39 weeks.
