My son will be a little over a month old when Christmas comes around. What do you get a baby for Christmas when he is so young? I have no ideas at all!

My son was 7 weeks when Christmas came last year. I knew everyone else would get him clothes and toys (I was right). So I got him books. Really sweet, mommy loves you so much type of books. I read them to him all the time. I think starting a savings account or getting your baby savings bonds is nice too. They'll be able to use that a lot longer then they would a toy

You could get some toys he could use for when he will turn around 3 months. Probably toys that rattle/light up/make other noises. My son will be 5 months and I am going to get him toys, a stocking, and maybe an outfit or two...

My baby will less than 2 months old and i plan on getting him nothing really, a little toy or something for his memory box and professional photography session with me and baby!! Which is more for me really :-) leave to family to spoil the child! there's no point in buying much because you well get the same things as gifts!

My daughter will be 22 days old. I am getting her a stocking with her name on it. We will put her first soft doll in there, a few soft toys, a couple of outfits and a ornament for the tree. :o)

i would just get some cute little toys that make noise. like rattles and stuff that lights up. and maybe a cute xmas outfit. you dont have to go all out i doubt he'll remember mommy only got him 1 or 2 things for his 1st xmas. im sure family will get him some goodies anyways.

Well, if you have all you NEED right now for baby, maybe a glass Christmas bauble with his name and the year on it. That way it can be put on the tree every year and next year he will be one and the family etc will have many wonderful things for him. Have a good Christmas!:-)

Honestly, I wouldn't do too much because this will be the only year you can get away with doing less than any other year. Just a small toy(s) or an outfit. Make it easy for you because whatever you wrap, you will have to open!!!

lol that is so funny the same thing bothered me. you just get them like a teddy or something, maybe like a lil outfit that says "babies first christmas" or something. at this point he's not really gonna get too thrilled right? lol

Still get toys, your baby won't be able to play with them at Christmas- too young, but within months he will. Get car seat toys and little manipulative toys. Or toys that go against the crib wall and play music or against the back seat of the car. There's different pianos that grow with baby- those are good. Think to the future and what he'd play with in a few months. The month by month baby development pages have suggestions for toys and activities. My son is not yet 4 months and is using a jumper- an exersaucer would be nice too. Board books would be good too because you can read those to him now and later he will play with them.

I agree, my daughter is going to be about 5 1/2 months at Christmas time, so I'm going to Build-a-Bear and making her a bear, which I will bring home and have embroidered with "Ava's First Christmas" or something like that.

I would think something that would be held for memorable later on. Theres not much that the babys gonna respond to at that age. I would probably give something like a babys first album thats mostly about the baby but highlights things about you and the father.
