Rasberry leaves drops Added: 1210 days ago. Added by: Daisy23 Section: General. Status: This question is Closed. (Questions will be closed after 10 days.)
I drank a teaspoon full of redrasberry leaf drops 2 hours ago, what is the chances that it might work? How long will it take before working? It says on the bottle 10 drops for adults 3 times a day, should things move faster if I drink some more?

raspberry leaf drops or the tea is not to make you go into labor> it is to tone your uterus and prepare it for labour. IF you want to soften your cervix, start taking evening primrose oil (prostiglandin). Ingest it if you want, but it will work best if you insert it next to your cervix at night. Wear a pad as it will be oily in the morning when you stand up! Take 1000 mg a night. Do keep drinking the raspberry leaf drops. I had it as a tea and would brew myself a big pot and drink it during the day.
Do also try walking, sex (more natural prostiglandins in sperm), ankle stimulation or acupressure- google on web for diagram. Roll around on a big exercise ball. Know any newborns? Crying stimulates labour as it releases oxytocin, the hormone responsible for triggering labour (and let down). As does nipple massage. Stay focused and try to be open and relaxed. When i say open, i mean keep your jaw relaxed, imagine your hips are relaxed and open. See my VIp site for more, but i also recommend Ina May Gaskin's book, "Guide to childbirth" Her dilation techniques has had every new first time mom i know go through dilation very quickly. But if you don't have the time to read it, the best thing is to work with the contractions when they start and focus on each one that its good, it feels good and it will bring your baby out to meet you. Concentrate that the contraction is opening up your cervix. Do not make high pitched noises during labour, try to stay as loose and relaxed as positive. I hope this helps and you go into labour soon!!

works for some but not for others. i drank raspberry leaf tea religiously - in the summer - for 3 weeks and it did nothing but cause a lot of painful, but unproductive, false labour.
