I have always been told my blood is B+ well findin out about this pregnancy my dr says theres a rh factor issue now? a new dr and supposedly could be the cause for my last stillborn in 04 im confused how i could be a + but now an rh factor? im waiting lab work from last friday as ive heard sometimes its a false test when i was 10weeks...any ideas?.

Harpchick - 1203 days ago Rating: 0 (0 votes) Being rH negative is SO common, so first off, don't worry about that. And getting the shots is SO unlikely to cause damage, believe me. The risks of not getting them are incredibly high, on the other hand. I've gotten loads of them over the years with my babies, because I have always had genetic screening with my pregnancies. I got them early in pregnancy at the time of the amnio or CVS, at the 28-week mark, and again on delivery. And my kids are all perfectly normal. I've never known anyone whose baby has been harmed by one, and since my rather prolific family is all rH negative and Murphy's Law seems to hit us with worst-case scenarios, if it was likely we'd have gone through it somehow. Tip: stop googling medical stuff, as the medical sites are either 1) bogus, or 2) love to be dramatic to the point of fiction. Your doc is a much better and more accurate source of information for your particular case. Seriously, though, the rH shots are NOTHING to worry about. Instead, be thankful for them. Back in the days before blood typing, women who didn't get them suffered endless miscarriages and infertility because of the manufacture of pregnancy antibiodies in their systems. You and your baby will be just fine.

sexymummy - 1203 days ago Rating: 0 (0 votes) im rhesus negative and i was really worried like you. i was due to have my first anti d injection in september.. however in about may time i fell down the stairs and had a bleed. i informed the hospital and they gave me an anti d injection there and then. that put my mind at ease once i had it. it doesnt really hurt anyway. anyway since then i had to have like 2 more anti d's due to unexpected vaginal bleeding and then had to have another 1 which was my final boost of anti d in september xx

Bienks - 1203 days ago Rating: 0 (0 votes) Don't worry I am also Rh negative, I had three shots one at 28 weeks one at 32 weeks and one after giving birth, my little one is perfect as long as you get the shots everything will be fine !

babygnumber1 - 1204 days ago Rating: 0 (0 votes) I'm Rh negative too, and got the shot at 28 weeks and will get another one after delivery if the baby is Rh positive... as long as you get the shot, you and the baby will be fine, but I wonder why you are getting it so early?

RobinG - 1204 days ago Rating: 0 (0 votes) I had the shot with all three, never a problem, had it at 28 weeks and after delivery :)

HappyForest - 1204 days ago Rating: 0 (0 votes) i am rh negative also, and have received the shot. as long as u get the shot, you and baby will be fine. however, it only last for 12 weeks, which is why the usually give it at 28 weeks and then again at birth...so i would ask your doctor why you are getting it at 20 weeks?

LIZ82 - 1204 days ago Rating: 0 (0 votes) IS THIS ABOUT RH NEGTIVE BLOOD ? I HAVE HAD 6 BABIES WITH NO PROBLEMS . I HAVE GOTTEN THE SHOT BUT YOU DONT HAVE TO GET IT IF YOUR BABY IS YOUR BLOOD TYPE . BECAUSE YOU HAVE TO GET IT WHEN YOUR PREGNANT AND AFTER YOU GIVE BIRTH
