I`ve heard people who are pregnant saying their baby be having hiccups... How do you know when the baby is having hiccups?... Can you feel it or something? I`m 28 weeks and this is my 1st pregnacy so I`m not really sure, sorry if it`s a stupid question!

kevinsmilf08 - 1199 days ago Rating: 0 (0 votes) It's like rythmic tapping or kicking. You'll be wondering what the heck baby is doing in there and then all of a sudden it will dawn on you after a few minutes of the same tap-tap-tap-tap that it's hicups!

larasmommy - 1199 days ago Rating: 0 (0 votes) My baby started hiccups in the third trimester. It feels like tiny kicks in the same area every few seconds... I felt mine really low. The also got more frequent in the last weeks before I delivered.

dawnispregz - 1199 days ago Rating: 0 (0 votes) the hiccups are like lil tiny kicks- but rhythmical, like every second or so and consistent with that beat. I didnt realise it was hiccups until really really late in the pregs and ive had them for months! i thought my boy was very musical and kicking in time to the music! - Thats far more stupid than your question!!!!The hiccups come from when they start to drink the amnio fluid and learn to breath, my boy has hiccups every day now at 3 weeks old, i spoke to paediatrician and he says they dont hurt them, but they can get annoyed - my lil boy gets fed up after w hile and actually groans angrily after every one! x x

vikki - 1200 days ago Rating: 0 (0 votes) The hic-cups are a regular sudden movement. Not large, just there. I have some of mine start as early as 25wks ( this one started then) others have been later. The hic-cups can annoy the unborn too. My second one would get really cross after awhile and start fussing and kicking out of frustration. She is 17yrs now and still gets cranky when she gets them. So if your baby gets the hic-cups and then kicks alot, don't worry, it's normal. Hic-cups are good because they are doing good "breathing" exercises.

sarahann - 1200 days ago Rating: 0 (0 votes) Like Lorien said, they are soft, rhythmic and fast. I use to feel them down low in my belly. One day I was sitting at the computer and I realised what I was feeling and that it must have been the hiccups. I had felt it before but never realised that's what it was. It's a good sign if the baby has the hiccups.

Lorien - 1200 days ago Rating: 0 (0 votes) It feels like the baby is doing little rhythmic jumps. It is not like being kicked the hiccups are a lot softer. Wait until you are between 30-34 weeks and you will start to feel them!
