About how many ultra sounds do you normally get during pregnacy?...I heard that you only get 1 unless the dr. think something is wrong with the baby.

bezzi44 - 1199 days ago Rating: 0 (0 votes) Most cases, in the US, it's one at around 20 weeks. This is my 3rd child and the only time I've had a 2nd one. That was b/c they couldn't get all the measurements.

1sttimemum2twins - 1200 days ago Rating: 0 (0 votes) it depends on your dr. its usually 2 in australia. one around 12 weeks to test for down syndrome, the other around 19 weeks to check that everything is developing normal. my twins shared a placenta so i had about 6 to make sure everything was ok.

I had a doctor with my first children and he was stingy on the ultra sounds, then I have a different doctor with this one and he is very generous on the ultra sounds and its not because he suspects something is wrong nor am I high risk, some docs just like to look i guess.

12.31.08 - 1200 days ago Rating: 0 (0 votes) true.. you only get one between 18-20 weeks unless there is a concern. Other then that you wont have anymore. maybe one in the very begining for dating purposes.
