When I take my prenatal pills I feel sick if I eat something and no matter what it is that I at it feels like it`s not going down...like it`s going to 1 spot and then stops and the rest of the day I can`t eat anything...so I stop taking them for about 3 or 4 days and I can eat like crazy with no problems...Can someone tell me if this is normal?

That was the only way I could keep them down. Take them with a meal every other day or so. You'll be fine. But take a fish oil supp everyday! Get those Omega 3's and DHA!! Those shouldn't upset your tummy at all...thankfully, lol. Good luck Mamma!! :-D

lynz40 - 1199 days ago Rating: 0 (0 votes) I got really sick when I first started taking my vitamins. So I switched to taking them at night and I was fine.

meowtab - 1199 days ago Rating: 0 (0 votes) Soo normal. I was really sick being on Materna prenatal vitamins. They switched me to PREG VIT and I am perfectly fine:) I was told it was the iron that caused it. The Preg Vit brand has a morning and night pill--each with different vitamins in it which makes it easier for your stomach to deal with.

Debra - 1200 days ago Rating: 0 (0 votes) i used to take them at night. Try switching brands of vitamins too. I thought the centrum 'materna' brand was a lot better than other ones. If you can't take them, try making sure your diet is balanced with fruits/veggies, whole grains, dairy, meats etc and take a calcium, folic acid and iron supplement. those are the main ones that you really need to make sure you have a lot of.

krystiannoah - 1200 days ago Rating: 0 (0 votes) I stopped taking my prenatals around week 14 because they made me sick...so i take flinstones with iron and they said it was fine..and i havent had any problems so i would say that it is normal and if you really cant stand them then take flinstones.

jessicadarling - 1200 days ago Rating: 0 (0 votes) I know a lot of people who got ill from them. Why don't you try taking them before bed? That way you sleep off the initial bit and hopefull you can eat again when you wake up

kristina89 - 1200 days ago Rating: 0 (0 votes) i get that way too but i eat something then take it sometimes i get sick n sometimes i dont

jaydsmom - 1200 days ago Rating: 0 (0 votes) Mine made me sick too. I took them right at bed time and then slept through it.

SurferBabyGirl-on-Board - 1200 days ago Rating: 0 (0 votes) MY prenatal to this day (38 wks) makes me nausea's, no appetite, & extreme migraines. Doctor said this is completley normal & I asked if it was ok to switch to the flinston vitamins, she said it should be fine & they work sooooo much better for me & the baby gets what it needs & I feel better.
