We were going to use fairy non bio to wash our babys clothes but by the time we startted to wash them and prepare we had loads of regular soap so we used that - Daz tablets, but we did buy non bio fabric conditioner for the baby stuff, and he hasnt had any allergic reaction to anything and its nice and soft for him, also the same soap as mummy and daddy so he smells the same as us. The hospital bag: Me, 3 night shirts/pj sets(whatever u wanna wear)socks,slippers,6 prs of undies(bought larger size just incase of emergency c sec-so no rubbing on scar-but needed a bigger size as maternity pads take up some room!) maternity pads, breast pads, toothbrush, paste, fash wash, shampoo, cond, brush, hair bands-tie hair back when in labour!-face wipes(nice to freshen up randomly thru the day), moisturiser, lip balm(really suggest u take that hosp air con not good after panting and sweating)also face cloth/flannel so hubby kept wiping brow thru labour with ice cold water- thats bliss! BABY: nappies,wipes,4 vests,4 babygrows/onesies, scratch mitts, bibs, botties, towel, 2 blankets(one for when cleaned and passed back- other one for when in cot/ on way home)woolen hat as winter baby, sudocrem, talc, mini baby wash(but didnt use as hosp provided) and car seat!! I did forget ipod, but didnt have time to listen anyways. And i packed about a month before iw as due - but i gave birth two weeks early!!!!Also dont forget to pack some snacks, and drinks, for u and hubby/birth partner. Labour is a long hard process and you need to keep energy up- MIL body shut down as not enough energy so she had tobe put on food drip to start contractions again. Not good!!!!!

They always say dreft is good, but basically anything that is free and clear of dyes and perfume. I know All small and mighty makes one. For the hospital I always bring bath stuff in my favorite scent, so when you get to take a shower it feels more like home. It was a real comfort for me. Also don't forget chapstick, I can't go without it during labor and delivery. A little outfit to bring baby home in. A camera. I also brought a radio so I could play some of my favorite music. Well, basically anything that will make you feel more comfortable and relaxed. God Bless
