extremely heavy bleeding first period after c section

I had my c-section 4 weeks ago and didn`t bleed much after. last night i got my period for the first time and i have been soaking pads constantly since. this morning when i went pee, there was a clot the size of a tennis ball at the bottom of the toilet..is this normal?

Bienks - 1195 days ago Rating: 0 (0 votes) Hi I had the same happen to me after my section also just some light bleeding watery pink stuff, but 4 weeks later heavy period and loads of clots, I went to doc just to make sure everything was fine they were and he told me that it's normal my boy is almost 12 weeks now and I have had my period 4 times already so if you have your period now and then a week later again don't worry doc told me that my hormones are trying to go back to normal again my body is healing this way and everybody's is different, luckelly my period seems to be setteling now, good luck to you if you are really worried rather call doc, knowing it's okay is better than worrying about it all the time.

RobinG - 1195 days ago Rating: 0 (0 votes) I bled that bad too with my first period, I've heard others share it too but it is still important you are not overdoing it. Big clots and heavy bleeding can also happen with to much over doing it it takes well ove ra month to truly heal. That big of a clot could be a concern I would call doc. I had small clots and needed to be checked just to be sure all was ok ~

luckywhite - 1195 days ago Rating: 0 (0 votes) hmmm ive never had a section (yet) but i would say 4 weeks of light bleeding then clots sounds like an infection.. call your doc asap..
