I`ve been breastfeeding my baby, he is none days old now but i`ve started to notice that anytime i start feeding him on the left i leak on the right and i get really soaked and so does h. sometimes i just leak even when he`s not being fed. Is his normal and will it go away? i expected some leakage but not that much

kater - 1179 days ago Rating: 0 (0 votes) yes its completely normal. just wear breastpads, youll find them in the baby section in the supermarket, alongside the wipes usually. it does slow down, but my bub is 4 months, and when i feed him, i still leak a little bit from the other side. i have a cloth nappy which i use, i fold it and put it against my non-feeding boob to catch leaks, and the other end i tuck under his chin to catch any dribbles. you could also just have a pad in your bra while feeding, but i found i went through way too many breast pads that way. also, pressing against your nipple (the one you arnt feeding from) slows or even stops the flow of milk.

lizzie287 - 1179 days ago Rating: 0 (0 votes) It's normal. It will regulate itself though, but it usually takes about 6-8 weeks for that to happen. I always wore breast pads when my daughter was first born and made sure I had plenty of extras in my diaper bag. They are a good idea because if you leave your nipples in a damp environment you are more susceptible to thrush.

louisec - 1179 days ago Rating: 0 (0 votes) i let down when some one used to ring my doorbell!! yes its normal its all about the let down reflex

jaydsmom - 1179 days ago Rating: 0 (0 votes) It unfortunately is normal. I actually let down on one side when I feed him from the other. The other problem I have is that if he just cries, I leak. It has actually gotten worse the more milk I produce. My baby is 4.5 weeks old. It didn't stop with my daughter until I quit breasfeeding. That is one of the reasons I stopped with her. I would leak so much I would soak the breast pads, then I would have a wet shirt. I could only wear black LOL.
