Weight Gavin Added: 1171 days ago. Added by: GsMommy Section: General. Status: This question is Closed. (Questions will be closed after 10 days.)
I am 32 weeks pregnant and have been sick the entire time. I`ve been on Zofran forevvvver and its actually been helping me. I`m just curious about my weight gain because I was sick with my first pregnancy and gained over 50lbs. And this time so far Ive barely gained 10. Ive heard that you dont gain as much the second time around, but for real-only 10lbs? It makes me think my baby isnt growing properly. Any advice??

Byyyy the way. That was supposed to say Weight GAIN, not Gavin. *lol* Thats my sons name, so my fingers just got overzealous.

I am almost 35 weeks and I've gained about 12-13 lbs...my doc told me that what matters most is that you are measuring properly (I assume your doc is measuring you at each visit?) and that you are growing from one appointment to the next.

well on my first pregnancy i started at 131 lbs and delivered at 208 and i was literally sick the whole time as well as during delivery, i had to use a barf bag while pushing out my girl... and on this pregnancy i am 24 weeks and about 19 weeks i stopped getting sick every day but i still get sick every other day or so but i started out at 196 with this one and i have lost 11 lbs... i'm not sure how much you started at this time but my dr said that in the 180-200 range you are only supposed to gain about 5 lbs and 200 or over you are not to gain anything... and losing isn't bad as long as its not too extreme... so i have yet to gain so far.. and my baby seems to be growing just fine... address the concern with your Dr but more then likely you are just fine and so is your little baby!!! good luck

I see you are in the US, so I assume you have been having monthly doctor visits....so, my advice is that if your doctor hasn't shown concern then you shouldn't worry. I just had my third and my weight gain was ZERO...my baby weighed 7 lbs. and was 2 weeks early.
