Ok ladies, I am almost 6 weeks, and I have these huge urges to stretch especially at night when I`m laying in bed. I have heard that stretching is bad for you while pregnant. Is this true? & why?

I know exactly what you mean about wanting to stretch in bed but i cant because i either get sharp pain in my belly on calf cramps haha. But yeah definately stretch. especially the inside of your legs. good for when the time comes :)

You should be stretching, it is very good for you. I also have been doing prenatal yoga and it helps so much :)

Stretch to your comfort! I think there's an old wives tale about pregnant women and stretching, reaching, and bending. It's a myth about how that's what causes an umbilical cord to wrap around a baby's neck. But not at all factual. Congratulations on your pregnancy. I hope you're feeling fine!

stretching is good for ya!! i was quite small when i had my first daughter and i had strong urges to stretch early on ... now i'm preggo again and i'm a bit larger this time and i have stretching urges but the only started in the 4th month of pregnancy and on both pregnancies i do pilates and yoga and my dr encourages it... either way tho its your body expanding for that baby!!! and i never heard that it was bad but when you get to the end of trimester two you can stretch yourself right into a charlie horse if you're not careful and if you do yoga or pilates and push yourself too far you can pull something easier than when you're not preggo .. so just be mindful... good luck :)

stretching is fine, I've done prenatal yoga the whole time and im 33 weeks now. just dont overdue it :)
