Ok my daughter is sick. She is sneezing and coughing. I already sucked alot of the mucus from her nose, am using a humidifier, and gave her a bath with the vapor bath. Is there anything else I can do to comfort her? She hasnt had a fever, but could I give her tylenol to calm her some? Please help I feel terrible for her.

Bienks - 1164 days ago Rating: 0 (0 votes) Ye you can give her tylenol, but here is some good advise buy a nebulizer now, my son also started getting sick two days on the nebulizer and he was perfect, I use normal saline soluting in it, every now and then he gets a bit wheezy and snotty, nothing works better than the nebulizer, and you don't need to give your baby all sorts of meds.

kater - 1165 days ago Rating: 0 (0 votes) try saline nasal drops, and try keeping her propped up when she is sleeping to help the mucus drain more easily. i also find that tummy time really helps the nose to drain very effectively.

juliealisesmommy - 1165 days ago Rating: 0 (0 votes) have her sleep as much as possible, try to lay her on her side, NOT HER BACK bc the mucus will leak into her throat and she will cough and choke the whole time. keep doing what your doing, but just remember, this will pass. my daughter is 1 and i've been thru that about 8 times now.. you'll feel like she will be sick forever but it goes away just as quick as it came! good luck!

Most places have a nurse on call. Sometimes your health insurance company has a nurse or DR. on call, check the back of your insurance card to see if they have a 24 hour care line.

amber325 - 1165 days ago She got sick yesterday I plan on calling the Dr. to make an apt tomorrow when they are open.

lillysnana - 1165 days ago Rating: 0 (0 votes) Have you taken her to the doctor yet hon? Little babies can take a turn for the worse so fast. She could develop Pneumonia or Bronchitits or even RSV at that age, it might be a good idea to get her checked out. As for what you can give her, sounds like you are doing all the right things at the moment. I know it hurts to watch her suffer. All you can do is just basically be there and comfort her as much as you can though. Sometimes a little warm salt water will help loosen the secretions in her nose too. How is her appetite?
