I love the name Fiona if the baby is a gilr, but I think it is too SHREK related. I do not want to name my lil girl after an ugly green oger, but I love the name Fiona!

gr8scottswife - 1162 days ago Rating: 0 (0 votes) Fiona is a beautiful name. In time, no one will think of Shrek.

stargazer530 - 1162 days ago Rating: 0 (0 votes) I think it's a beautiful name and I always think of Fiona Apple when i hear it who has a beautiful voice.

mommymerci - 1162 days ago I think you girsl helped me be brave enough, well, at least brave enough to put it on my top 5 :) Thank You All!

dawnispregz - 1162 days ago Rating: 0 (0 votes) No not at all. My friend is called fiona and a model! - totally unrelated to shrek!

luckywhite - 1162 days ago Rating: 0 (0 votes) fiona is a lovely scottish name - its really common up here so no one thinks of shrek when you hear it!!! there were about 6 fionas in my class at school!!!

jessicadarling - 1162 days ago Rating: 0 (0 votes) Fiona was my most favourite girls name while I grew up and I was determined to name my daughter Fiona. My bf had other ideas. It is a celtic name but he thought of shrek so he said no. I SAY GO FOR IT!! I absolutely love love love the name

Lorien - 1163 days ago Rating: 0 (0 votes) That is funny you ask. My sister just named her baby Fiona and at first all I could think of was Shrek going "FIIOOOONNA" but now that she is a couple of months old it has grown on me and she gets a lot of compliments on it so I think it is fine. I told my sister at least she was a good character. I agree with spencerbaby1 the Shrek thing will fade after a while anyway and the name is pretty. My other sister has had more people associate it with Fionna Apple rather than Shrek. I guess it just depends on if you have tv watching aged children. :-)

aulrobbri - 1163 days ago Rating: 0 (0 votes) Naw, I think it is a great name!

happyforest - 1163 days ago Rating: 0 (0 votes) ive never seen shrek, so to me, fiona is just a pretty name!!

mommymerci - 1163 days ago The real defination of Fiona, pre-shrek, means fair/white/pale/beautiful. I'm a whitey and I will always think my lil one is beautiful. It would be a perfect name. Damn Shrek right now, it's a love hate thing!

mommymerci - 1163 days ago Me too! About thinking shrek as soon as I hear Fiona! :(

spencerbaby1 - 1163 days ago Rating: 0 (0 votes) remember she was a beautiful princess (except at night). i think as time passes the name will be less associated with shrek. if you like the name- go for it

meg-rene - 1163 days ago Rating: 0 (0 votes) I have to admit, when I see Fiona, the first thing I think of is Shrek. BUT, it's a beautiful name so don't worry about it!
