I have a 10 (almost 11) month old boy and I was wonder what other 10 month olds are eating right now. And I`ve been buying him infant juice to drink along with his regular bottles, but was wondering about giving him V8 fruit smoothie in strawberry banana.....would that be okay??

He's had strawberry banana baby food, they make it in #2 foods, and that's good for babies from 6 months and older. He has not reacted to those. My pediatrician was the one who told me to start giving him diluted juice with his snacks during the day, so he gets 1 juice sippy a day. About 4 oz. worth. I was just wondering about the "smoothie" part of the drink, but the fruits that are in it.

I agree with CassandraLee strawberries are a high allergen so you may want to avoid them until at least 1 year old. Here is a good reference guide. http://www.wholesomebabyfood.com/forbiddenbabyfood.htm

You shouldnt be giving any strawberry products until after 1. Most pediatricians wouldnt advise giving juice at 10 mo. either. Your baby should only be receiving formula/breast milk or water in their bottles.

Pay attention to any diaper rash that baby has if you give the strawberry banana drink. Many children are allergic to strawberries. I found out the hard way when my son got such a sore hiney after I gave him some fresh cut strawberries. Once I realized he was allergic, I stopped giving him other foods that had strawberries in them and the rash he had on his legs that I thought was eczema cleared up. Turns out that was an allergic reaction rash. Good luck.

i think it should be fine introduce it slow and watch for allergies is the only thing i'd recommend
