I`m only 32 weeks, but by MY calculations, I`m about 35 weeks...and I have been measuring big the entire pregnancy. Anyway, I have been having this sharp, shooting pain down my vag. So bad that I have to stop walking. What do you all think this is? Is it a sign that I`m getting close to labor? Also, the other morning I was having contractions...I finally went back to sleep, so they must have stopped, but when I was washing in the shower I noticed my vag. was very swollen? Just curious. Thanks for the help.

youre.in.my.system.baby - 1144 days ago Rating: 0 (0 votes) I agree with all of the below and on the measuring bigger front - the only thing I can is that measuring fundal height is NOT an accurate indicator. It was useful before sonograms to detect rapid weight gain and give an estimation of gestation, but fundal height is affected by the amount of fluid etc. Sonograms are MUCH more accurate, particularly between weeks 7-12 as there are definite differences between each week. When I had my 25 week check up - my fundal height measured 27 weeks - but that doesn't mean I'm 27 weeks and will have baby 2 weeks early (much to my disappointment) Anyhoo, good look. You don't have long to go - you're in the home stretch!! Enjoy it :D I'm jealous you've got a month on me LOL

RobinG - 1144 days ago Rating: 0 (0 votes) I had swelling most of the pregnancy, it is just the increased blood flow and pressure from baby but very normal at any time during pregnancy (())

RobinG - 1144 days ago Rating: 0 (0 votes) Yeah I agree, I had those too and it isnt a sign sadly ~ and if you had an U/S early on in first 12 weeks than the 32 weeks is most accurate since they can see specific development to know most accurate gestation. (())

baby2onboard - 1144 days ago Rating: 0 (0 votes) i think it's just pressure and pain from the baby getting bigger and heavier. i had the same thing

jaydsmom - 1144 days ago Rating: 0 (0 votes) Sorry, but I started getting those shooting pains and the swollen vajj around 28 weeks, and my baby didn't come until I was induced at 39 weeks :(
