Just curious...for those of you that have children already, when did you get the first social smile? My daughter is 5 weeks and I`m so anxious to see her smile at me on purpose!

My son is 7 weeks old today. He gave me his first "real" smile the day after Christmas. Believe me its the best feeling in the world!

My son starting really smiling at 6 weeks. Now at 9 weeks he is smiles all the time :)

Im thinking Lilly was quite young when she first began smiling at us, around 4-6wks adjusted age, since she was a preemie.

I was just reading on the babycenter website that 'real actual know why they're smiling' smiles start around 5 weeks. My little one is also 5 weeks and I can't wait for the day that it happens...
