does any oneknow like a website for which carseats work best in which cars or how to tell before you buy a carseat ifit will fit in your car?

dawnispregz - 1137 days ago Rating: 0 (0 votes) if your car has metal bits sticking out next to the seat belt holders then you can have iso-fix car seats. these enable ya to just hook the seat into the metal holders without a massive fuss with the seatbelts, if you dont have those(we dont)then you can buy a car seat base, its a permanent fixture in our car. it stays in with the seat belt and 'legs' for support on the floor then the car seat fits into the base, with a 'click' sound to prove its in right.Sooo easy, just hooks in and lifts out when needed. better than having to wrap the seat belts around every time. the car sat base will go in any car, ive used it in ours,my mums and my hubbys mums. its by graco. http://www.preciouslittleone.com/acatalog/GR8401142E.html and any graco car seat will fit in it

However, like soon said, you can got to places like babies r us and request to pull the model seat off the shelf and place it in your car to test. You can also check with your local fire station or carseat safety check location (it is sometimes a police station) and they maybe able to help. Worst case, you can buy the seat and in the parking lot of the store, pull it out of the box and place it in your car. If it doesn't fit, put it back in the box, walk back into the store and return it and try again. If you want to check the safety and ease of use ratings as well as the demensions of the seat check out www.nhtsa.gov and www.iihs.org and search both sites for 'child restraints'

soon2bmommaof2 - 1138 days ago Rating: 0 (0 votes) I just wanted to say that if you go to a store and find seats that you like, you are allowed to take them off display to try them out in your car before purchasing. Also, in your owners maual there may be info in there about what kind of carseats to go with.
